The Way We Work

You Know You Need a Video, But Have No idea Where To Start

With BQM, broadcast-quality video production couldn’t be easier. Simply drop us an email with your phone number and we’ll take care of the rest.

1. Brief – Set the goals and objectives of the shoot

The first step in our creative process is to take a brief from you by discussing your requirements on the phone or meeting you in person. This will quickly answer crucial considerations:

• What, exactly, do you need your video to achieve?
• Who is your target audience?
• What is your target delivery medium… web, TV, viral, direct marketing?
• What are the key messages you want to communicate?
• What's the budget and time-scale?

2. Concept – Technically and creatively build ideas

From the brief we'll be able to shape the concept of the video we need to create in order to trigger the desired audience response.
Here we mix our imaginative creativity with our years of experience to define the outline approach to the shoot.
We’ll seek your ‘sign off’ on the concept and approach before we proceed to the all-important next step.

3. Production – Time to create your outstanding video

At the production stage of an assignment we’ll take care of every detail to ensure the entire process is truly painless and your video is truly broadcast quality.

And we’ll always ensure that your needs are closely and cost-effectively met. If all you need is one person on location, that’s who we’ll provide. If your requirements are more ambitious, we can lay on an entire team – each member an expert in their respective field.

We edit and grade with Blackmagic Design’s Davinci Resolve for a finished product of the highest quality. For compositing/2D and 3D/VFX insertion we use Blackmagic Design’s Fusion, as well as Newtek’s Lightwave 3D^®, Agisoft's PhotoScan and Ssontech’s SynthEyes™ for more involved projects.

While the names of these packages may be entirely alien to you, they’re some of the industry standards and you’ll almost certainly be familiar with the film and television productions in which they’ve been used.

4. Delivery – Your video securely delivered

We’ll deliver your finished product by hand, encoded and compressed, on whatever digital medium you prefer, but we usually recommend the following options:

File sizes up to 128 Gb – Sandisk (or equivalent quality) flash/thumb drive

File sizes above 128 Gb – Sandisk or Samsung SSD (solid-state drive)

Cloud storage / transfer (file size permitting)
